By booking this service, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the following:

DHA EXPOSURE: This service uses dihydroxyacetone (DHA), an FDA-approved color additive for external use. The FDA recommends protecting eyes, lips, and mucous membranes during application.

ALLERGIES: I confirm I have disclosed all known allergies, including to fragrances, lotions, and tanning solutions.

MEDICAL: I am not currently pregnant in my first trimester (or have a doctor's clearance), and have no skin conditions that may be worsened by this service.

SUN SPOTS & PIGMENTATION: The solution develops on all of my skin, so existing sun spots, freckles, and areas of darker pigment will tan along with everything else and may appear darker or more noticeable. I will point out any areas I'm concerned about to my technician before we begin and ask about my options.

STAINING: Spray tan solutions can stain clothing, sheets, and upholstery. The artist is not responsible for any staining.

POST-CARE: I understand that following the post-care instructions provided is critical to a good result, and that variations in skin pH, hydration, and aftercare can affect the outcome.

I release the artist and goldenhour from liability arising from this service performed in good faith.

Cancellation policy: Free cancellation up to 24h before your appointment. After that, the booking is final.

Before your appointmentWe'll also text you these notes a day or two before.

Exfoliate the day before. Use a non-oil-based scrub all over. A clean, smooth canvas is what makes your tan last longer and fade evenly.
Shave or wax 24 hours ahead. Same-day shaving is the #1 cause of streaky tans. Wax 24-48h ahead so pores have time to close.
Come product-free the day of. No moisturizer, sunblock, or aluminum deodorant on your skin the day of. They all act as a barrier and block the solution.
Skip the shower before you come. Wet, oversaturated skin won't hold the solution as well. It's fine to rinse off a hard workout, but leave at least an hour between that shower and your appointment.
Wear loose clothing & open-toe shoes. Loose, dark clothing and open-toe shoes or flip-flops if you have them. Tight clothes and closed shoes rub fresh tan off mid-development.
